Frontman Dave Gleeson is one of Australia's great rock vocalists and entertainers. With his unmistakable voice, larger-than-life stage presence and genuine love of rock 'n' roll, Gleeso has spent decades carrying the torch for Australian pub rock while earning the respect of fans and fellow musicians alike. That passion makes BONFEST a particularly special occasion. A lifelong admirer of Bon Scott - so much so that he proudly wears a tattoo of the legendary AC/DC frontman - Dave has often spoken about Bon's influence on his life and career, describing him as the ultimate rock 'n' roll storyteller. 

The Screaming Jets also share a unique place in Bon Scott history. They were among the Australian rock heavyweights who performed at the landmark Bon Scott Celebration Concert in Western Australia, the event that raised the funds to create the iconic Bon Scott statue in Fremantle. Their appearance at that historic concert cemented a lasting connection between the band and Bon's legacy, with the Jets proudly contributing to one of rock's most enduring tributes. 

Now, The Screaming Jets bring that connection full circle as they make their BONFEST debut in Bon's birthplace of Kirriemuir. Celebrating 40 years of Electric Boys, Sweden’s groove-rock legends bring their unique blend of hard rock swagger, funky grooves and psychedelic colour to Bonfest 2027.  Formed in Stockholm in the late 1980s, the band quickly carved out their own space in the rock world with a sound that mixed the attitude of classic hard rock with the rhythm and feel of funk, soul and '60s-inspired psychedelia.

Led by charismatic frontman Conny Bloom, Electric Boys burst onto the scene with their acclaimed debut album Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride, featuring the hit single “All Lips ’N’ Hips”, earning a loyal following across Europe and the USA. Their follow-up album Groovus Maximus cemented their reputation as one of the most original and exciting bands of the era, blending huge riffs, irresistible hooks and grooves that refused to stay still.

After reuniting in 2009, Electric Boys have continued to prove that their trademark sound has lost none of its magic, releasing acclaimed albums and delivering the same infectious energy that made them cult favourites in the first place.

Now celebrating four decades of rock ‘n’ roll, Electric Boys arrive at Bonfest ready to bring the funk, the fuzz and the fire. Expect killer grooves, soaring guitars, plenty of attitude and a band who know exactly how to make a crowd move.
