Kirriemuir, or Kirrie to the locals, is a small town at the foot of the Angus glens, about 17 miles north of Dundee in the north east of Scotland. The majority of the buildings in the town are built from red sandstone, earning Kirrie the nickname “the wee red toon”. The town is just off the main A90 road and is easily accessed from Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports.
The nearest train station is in Dundee and there are regular buses from Dundee out to Kirriemuir.
